December 1976 Boonslick Industries (sheltered workshop) started in the Archway Cookie Factory building in Boonville

1982 Mil levy passed in Cooper County; Cooper County Board of Sheltered Services formed to administer county tax funds for people with disabilities; 9 member Board of Directors

1983 Sheltered Workshop moved to 1620 West Ashley Road in Boonville

1990 Boonslick Residential Services formed; work begins on 2 new HUD facilities – Hillcrest House and Village Green Apartments

1991 Hillcrest House and Village Green Apartments open; UOI begins providing residential services

1991 Unlimited Opportunities, Inc. formed to provide residential services and adult day program; 11 member Board of Directors

1992 Weyland House opens

1993 Grayling and Pioneer Houses open

1996 Community Employment Services and Family Support Services began; 3 year CARF accreditation

1997 Carla House opens

1999 ISP building built; 3 year CARF accreditation

2002 CCBSS begins Targeted Case Management in Cooper County; 7th county in Missouri to do TCM; 3 year CARF accreditation

2003 Shepard House opens; ISP basement remodeled & doubled size of ISP building

2004 Savvy Seconds, the Unique Resale Store, opens as part of the sheltered workshop

2005 BII begins recycling program; processes over 513,000 pounds of paper and cardboard the first year of operation; 3 year CARF accreditation

2006 BII celebrates its 30th anniversary and UOI celebrates its 15th anniversary

2006 BII recycling program baled and sold 569,387 pounds of paper, cardboard and textiles

2006 34 staff participated in the College of Direct Support

2006 New deck for Weyland House, new mini vans for Carla House and Shepard House; air conditioning installed in the recycling sorting area

2007 ISP building added a new overhang for unloading passengers from the bus and vans

2007 Secured another 3 year contract with MODOT to maintain the rest areas

2008 Achieved another 3 year CARF national accreditation for all programs; Boonslick Industries named ‘Business of the Year’ by the Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce

2008 SB40 Board added a 5th case manager to provide targeted case manager for all clients with DD in Cooper County

2008 Recycling program processed 1.8 million pounds of paper, cardboard and textiles; expanded into Howard and Moniteau Counties

2008 UOI served 211 clients and employed 90 staff and 34 workers with disabilities at Boonslick Industries, Inc.

2009 BII processed 2 million pounds of recycling commodities; Savvy Seconds sales reaches $202,000 for the year

2009 & 2010 UOI named ‘Best Adult Care’ and ‘Best Non Profit’; Savvy Seconds named ‘Best Clothing’ and ‘Best Resale Store’ in ‘Boonville Daily News’ survey

2010 UOI serves 213 clients with developmental disabilities; employs 96 employees and 45 workers with disabilities

2010 Secured another 3 year contract with MODOT to maintain the rest areas

2010 BII processed 2,188,320 pounds of recycling commodities; Savvy Seconds sales reaches $231,104.31 for the year, averaging $19,259 per month

2011 Savvy Seconds named “Best Thrift Store” in Boonville Daily News ‘Best of Boonslick 2011’ edition

FY2011 UOI serves 218 clients with developmental disabilities; employs 96 employees and 41 workers with disabilities employed by BII

2011 SB40 Board added a 6th case managment to provide targeted case manager for all clients with DD in Cooper County

2011 BII celebrates its 35-year anniversary and UOI celebrates its 20-year anniversary

2011 3 year CARF accreditation
